My name is Tilly Flory and, since I can remember, I have been combining my lifelong relationship with art and my love for nature, creating pieces that defy colour norms. I have drawn with pencil since I was a child. I find comfort in this method and adore the delicate and photorealism quality I can bring to my work through this medium. However, experimentation drew me to paint, my painting style being monotone. I love working with shadows and light and feel as though the absence of colour does not imply an absence of life; rather, it accentuates the interplay between light and shadow within my paintings. With my subjects being primarily animals I have raised money for WWF through my art and have worked with the Born Free foundation to create works to help raise money for their amazing causes. My love for animal welfare has been the driving force behind my art and I cannot wait to see where it takes me and what it can do.
